All weekend, Mercury moves through the last few degrees of Leo and the point of a yod from retro Neptune and retro Pluto. Overnight Sunday into Monday it heads back into its own rule in Virgo. Up to that point, it also forms a t-square with squares to the waning Pallas Athena, retro Uranus opposition.
There’s a powerful funnel of creative wisdom and intuition in action on the mind and self concept. We also have the insight that comes in flashes, insight set up through the clashes of reason and expectation during the recent Mercury retro period. You don’t see it till you see it, but then you can’t unsee it.
Set aside the bias part of ego where you can. If you identify too closely with what you think right now (as in, this belief/thought/fact defines me, is part of who I am), you could miss out on the magic — or be misled. It’s not just the call for an open mind; it’s the necessity of straddling the divide between pure belief and its boundaries in reality. Be open, not conned. What you fear to lose can be surmounted – either the fear or the thing itself.
Friday night, the Venus-ruled Libra Moon sextiles Mercury then forms the point of a yod from retro Uranus and retro Neptune (as Mercury perfects its square to retro Uranus). The mood is bubbly and giddy, with “when you least expect it” twists and turns. But in a good (enough) way. Gracious balance is a Libra Moon mood, so be of good cheer and surf the rapid waves.
The Virgo Sun perfects its opposition to retro Saturn in Pisces on Saturday night but is active Friday night as well. The best way to learn is through relationship. Expect to find old challenges cropping back up, issues of blockage, pressure, or a lack of belief or spiritual openness. Those issues can spring from either you or the other, but they’re ripe for working together again to find an elevated solution.
Perhaps you can’t work together, and that’s the block. In that case, Mercury is set to help you access a workaround.
Saturday night’s Scorpio Moon fosters intensity and depth, and it too lends strength and fortitude to our ability to download truths and deduce and reduce falsehoods. It’s a subtle hunger that grows.
Sunday morning, the Scorpio Moon trines retro Saturn and sextiles the Sun. Patience and stamina flank opportunities to investigate and transform our agenda. Follow your nose, literally and figuratively. What stinks? What entices? Put yourself back into the equation now. What fits for you?
Sunday night, the Scorpio Moon heads into opposition with retro Uranus, exact overnight as Mercury moves to Virgo. “Shot through the heart and you’re to blame,” … not exactly terrible, but not purely “good” either. It’s exciting, but a sharp longing that’s difficult to express may complicate relating. Acceptance and letting yourself or others off the hook are fine remedies for any discomfort. “Hurts so good,” is also possible.
Do you have any weekend plans?
Thank you 🙏❤️

You are a wonderful astrologer – picking up subtleties often missed & difficult to put into words. The one above about mistaking ourselves as our beliefs & getting all tripped up. I’ve been watching that since July 21 – part of Mercury sq Uranus playing out. I’m thinking we’ve had a huge shift w the feminine coming in but all of us, including women, must confront our internal toxic masculinity or it’s the same ole same ole! Toxicity in astrology is the idea of good/bad transits. Of course we live in duality or so they say. Elsa reminds us it’s energy for us to use/observe. Carl Jung says our unconscious is driven to the light, into consciousness. Jonathan Livingston Seagull says if you’re still alive, you have work to do! The moon in Scorpio reminds us the work of the ego is a slippery slope…. I think you do a great job of applying the energy in a non-toxic way. Astrology is not a belief. It’s a tool. As always, thank you.😊
