Menopause symptoms do last for years for some so that is common.

For heart palpitations, try drinking lots more water. Lots. Like 72 oz at least (Which everyone should anyway). Of course, let your doctor know about these. It could be you need more water, it could be anxiety, or something else. Always best to let the doctor know so they can reassure you or order some test or blood work.

All your concerns can be addressed with your gynecologist so she is aware and can help.

I can’t say much on the tinnitus. Sorry!

hey thanks for the info, allie120, didn't know that about deleting posts. As I said, the heart palps have subsided, and have had all checks with gyno and stuff. Thanks again!

Sure! I don’t want to give too much advice (not that I have tons to give!) without you having had a visit with you doctor. Menopause can suck sometimes ?

I should be over it but sometimes I wonder, went thru it at 46 I am now 62. Did not take hormones. I did get hypothyroidism which is common I guess after menopause so I do take meds for that. I had some hot flashes, My biggest problem was crying at a drop of a hat. I would cry during commercials !! I was so sensitive at work , things that I would usually ignore I just could not ignore anymore.

Well my menopause was not bad at all. I had experienced some hot flashes when I was on a medication post-cancer treatment so I understood them (I was only 41 at the time). That was temporary. But my last period was April 2013 (I was 48). I got some night sweats, a few hot flashes, rarely feeling that rage you feel during PMS lol, and feeling weepy but that feels normal haha. I never took anything for any of the symptoms. I’ve taken black cohosh a few times for night sweats but I don’t anymore and I don’t have them now.

So mine wasn’t bad. I’m post menopausal now. I still feel times where I want to cry but I think that’s just me being me. You go through your period and all that for how long, 35+ years? That’s a long damned time.

I remember my first period when I was 11. I was like....I have to do this every month from now on? I HATE this! Hahah

I was 51 when I was officially in Menopause.  That was back in 2004.  I went through it naturally.  My OB/GYN recommended no hormones because they considered me a high risk for breast cancer.   I had terrible hot flashes and night sweats, but I learned to deal with it.  I dressed in layers, wore cotton (even in Winter) and could not wear anything around my neck.  That would trigger a hot flash for me.

I could not wear sweaters or anything fleece.  It felt like someone put me in an oven if I did.  I compensated for the flashes by putting cold, wet paper towels on the back of my neck.  If you catch a hot flash when it first starts sometimes you can prevent it.

Aside from that, I was bloated around my waist and abdomen area.  I didn't have the mood swings really.  That happened more during Peri-menopause.  I was irritable during that time and had the worst cramps ever during my period.

Astrologically, Menopause occurred for me when Saturn was conjunct my MC and trine my Moon and Saturn.  Also, Uranus was on the cusp of my 6th house.  As the years went by, I gradually stopped getting hot flashes.  Now, I rarely get them.  Any vaginal dryness also went away.  If you have a problem with that something like Vagifem, a very low dose hormone, corrects it.

One thing I realized after going through Menopause is how hormones drive your emotions.  I am a much more calm and even-tempered person today than I was before Menopause.
