A lot of 'conspiracy theorists' turn out to be bang on the money.
People used to scoff at those who refused to accept the official version of the JFK assassination as laid down in the Warren Report; it took many years of research and persistence, but now there are very few people who do still accept that version. The whole truth may never be known, but it sure as hell ain't what we were led to believe
My own propensity to explore the usual 'conspiracy theories' (eg JFK, Oklahoma bombing, 9/11, the AGW scam, the Hanratty 'A6' murder, to name the main few I've spent years researching) I put down to my Virgo and my Cap. In-depth research is second nature to me, and I want the truth at any price, not some politically convenient fiction. I'm very good at smelling a rat, and there are so many rats around in some of the famous cases, that they do stink to high heaven.
I do have Cap Merc square Neptune so I have to be careful of getting carried away into a realm of fantasy. But I've always been aware of that necessity and I think I'm pretty good at tossing out the fantasy stuff. Those of us grounded by a lot of Earth make the best researchers
I love a good conspiracy theory,too. I gots the grandtrines in air as well except mars is the personal planet in my case. Yeah, I don't trust the gobment 
I just like to connect dots, but I don't get carried away with it either.
Eh...I'm not much for conspiracy theories, though I don't trust any "official" versions of events.
Too much Virgo to believe in them.
