I think they are both as dark but in different ways. Scorpio darkness I find fertile until it isn't, there is a moment when there's a sense of annihilation which is scary. Capricorn is just goddamn bleak and the sense of limitation and entrapment, I can't handle it. With Scorpio I don't feel limited, it's like you can go deep into primal experience and manifest in it but there are parts that are dark 'beyond'. When someone has Cap and Scorp together or when these are active in the sky it's really tough, and I have a Saturn-Pluto aspect so I'm no wimp.
Im not sure that I understand what dark means anymore so I don’t know how to apply that term. What I do think though is that Capricorn won’t do anything that doesn’t make sense and Scorpio will. Capricorn will always save themselves but Scorpio will of course sting the turtle that takes them across the river. In that way Capricorn is more sane.

the definition, maybe i look to the history and timeline of what happened during the pluto capricorn with capricorn stellium, the onset of the pandemic happened, and corporations crumbled, wars started, (cardinal likes to 'start"things or get things going, unliked 'fixed' i think) whether good or bad.darkness in the world happened during this capricorn stellium where the jupiter capricorn was in the "fall"; alot of people became homeless due to the crumbling of corporations and loss of jobs. Homelessness became commonplace so there's aloneness, isolation, and we see people's cruelty too.
in the 80s, when i remember pluto scorpio /stellium happening, i think we see the Conservatism is strong (Reagan years?) and there's AIDS that was all over the USA too (Aids, connected to SEX = scorpio) but yet, scorpio is liberating (because it is exalted in Uranus) the fall of Berlin wall, where people came together and merged and freedom. There's creativity because water is creation, music had it's own wonderful flair, and people go back thinking of the 80s music and funky hairstyles. I found some of that quite fond looking back into the 80s.
so who's darker? id say capricorn.

i just love learning how the world works via astrology and how the planets influence worldwide, on a larger scare. It's uncanny how influencial these energies are, like a magic wand over the entire universe.
@elisa Yes Ma'am! Way bigger than just us. I am just a speck ... nothing really in the grand scheme of things. And I don't mind that at all. I am fine just being a part of it, even on such a small scale. Even through all the loss and the last three years of some real torturous pain, I am so thrilled to be alive.
Scorpio is darker, Capricorn is heavier. Darkness can be heavy and heaviness can be dark.
I have a lot of cap Moons people around me. Imo they are one of the most private people you will ever meet. That's what make them a bit dark, they are very reserved and sometimes they tend to have dark thoughts, I find them more reserved than Scorpio. But less drama 😉 I used to date someone who had an (Aquarius) moon square Pluto and Saturn, it was one of the most dark people I knew. Not sure if it was more because of Pluto or Saturn influence, or just the combo. Imo a Scorpio, at least they reach a point where they burst out, with a Capricorn you just don't know.
