This is funny and shocking, it can do this but the underside of this is horrific.

I don't have to time to expound right now, but I will eventually. I just wonder what others see in this.

@elsa stereotyping, profiling, dehumanizing... By a machine trained to think for you so you don't have to

@sk8samurai yes!  Train people to be assholes. Model it for them.

I think it would be smart to project out a bit; ten... or even five years, and consider the affect this will have.

@elsa I don't touch AI in this way. I don't know if I ever will. I feel like the world is changing around me and I am not going along with it, and I am unsure what that will mean.

I'm now thinking maybe I need to just learn it. If I never do, or if I fail to understand what is going on around me, I'm in deep trouble. Ugh!

Here's a quote that says it well: "Let's stop calling it Artificial Intelligence and call it what it is: Plagiarism Software. Don’t create anything, copy existing works from existing artists and alter it sufficiently to escape copyright laws. It's the largest theft of property since Native American lands by European settlers."
Noam Chomsky

And here's another Chomsky quote:

The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum – even encourage the more critical and dissident views. That gives people the sense that there’s free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate.

It could be a threat.

I feel for the people whose job has been taken over by AI.

Yes, I’m sorry to say it probably is true (re:job search stories).
