Yesterday, a client told me of an attorney who specializes in negotiating your divorce from a narcissist.  Apparently, she's really thought this through and learned in whatever is necessary to be successful at this.

The only other thing I was told is a narcissist will keep you negotiating forever, the goal being to cause you pain at any cost?

I have worked with a sizable number of people who have trying to settle their divorce for three, five and even for ten or more years!

If this gal can really do this, it's impressive. Not just her skill but her business acumen!

I could have used one of those! I went through a mediator when I divorced my ex-husband. I gave up a lot just to get away from him because I knew he would be unreasonable.

Yes. There is a whole legal cottage industry surrounding narcissism and its favorite cousin, parental alienation.

A lot of attorneys don't understand the motivation of narcissists, and keep trying to settle. I understand why, 90 percent of divorces end by settlement. They don't get that the drama is the goal, for these people.

It costs a ton of money though.

Narcissists well not hesitate to weaponize and psychologically abuse their children.
