“You have a powerful drive to foster good relationships with everyone you meet, which makes you a great friend or colleague, and a truly loving spouse. The danger with Ceres in the seventh house is that you could also become a proverbial 'people pleaser' and end up losing some (or most) of your own identity if you focus too much on supporting the identity and wants of others. Another pitfall is to project goodness onto people, and become deluded or dependent. By developing your own loving-kindness in a way that brings personal wholeness, you learn to honor and balance your needs and the needs of others, whilst cultivating and modeling true equality in all your dealings.”

That interpretation is from the Deluxe Asteroid Report.

Do you have Ceres in the seventh house?  What can you tell us about it?

I have Ceres there in Aries opposite to my Pluto in Libra. I used to be a people pleaser. I only do enough to please my bf. When Uranus transited the 7th I got fed up with the people pleasing thing.

when Uranus was conjunct my moon, my best friend’s wife commited suicide. And that made me rethink about why I tried to please people. My best friend tried to please her all the time in order for her to heal. She was too broken I realized. She wanted to please also. Constantly vying for her moms attention which she never got. In my former relationship I pleased and pleased. Till my ex left me. With absolutely nothing. And learned he actually left me with the knowledge I had to please myself in order for me to grow.

been single for years, till I met a new man. And i noticed that I did things differently. I can stand on my own, earn my own money, and be happy with myself. I could have gone into other relationships earlier. But I took 6 years to come to my own. To be on my own for real. He’s great! He’s everything my ex wasnt . And i am glad it didn’t took me a life time to figure that out. Now it’s balanced, he’s actually the pleaser. I give back in return but all in balance..

in my friends department : I was the one people go to with their troubles, I cut that off. Because i don’t want to be drained anymore. I call them from time to time. But that’s it. When Pluto Squared Pluto I experienced the suicide of my best friends wife. And it made me get up! Made me eager to live life better. No more being only the pleaser. But to be pleased on my own. Pleased to be alive.

I have this placement, in Pisces to boot. I am the nurturer in my 1-to-1 relationships. Sometimes, it works great. I have all the markers of liking service and responsibility. Virgo Ascendent, Sun in 6th, Capricorn heavy chart. So, it works out for me. But, it would be nice to not veer into sacrifice territory. Need to be conscious of that. Thanks for the headsup.

I realized I have Ceres Return coming up. Considering that it takes 4.6 years for Ceres to come back to the same sign, I thought it must be a great milestone to check what have I learnt since the last time.

Last time around, I was newly married and went all out to adjust in my new family, and accommodate my new spouse's dietary habits. I am a vegetarian and I learnt to cook meat for him.
