I think this is a Neptune/12th house thing. Possibly when this is mashed up with the Moon, these things can surface or be exacerbated. I don't have any phobias to my knowledge. There are things that I am afraid of, but they are rational (like fire, or drowning). They don't keep me from swimming or hanging out around campfires, though. I will say that when Saturn moved through the Cancer degrees of my 12th house, I was irrationally afraid that I had developed a deadly illness due to my own behavior. When Neptune opposed my Moon, I was almost obsessed with the idea that I had done something terrible and deserved to be locked up for it. Neither of these things proved true.

It may be an individual thing. The Moon is very strong in my chart. It's in Virgo, so Pisces/Neptune and the 12th house archetype feel drastically challenging. It's like a chasm of unknowing for me. When you mix the Moon with Neptune in any way, it seems to manifest for me in irrationality and instinctive, guilt-driven (Moon) delusions (Neptune).

i have my virgo moon square neptune in my 12th house...  i totally know about the irrational shit show that brings.  but it's not a fear with anything other than snakes and spiders.....  i don't really have phobias with anything else. 

I would think that if it's a fear of snakes and spiders, maybe the 8th house or Scorpio is involved in some way? These animals are considered "repulsive" by many, after all.

Spiders.  Especially big, fat hairy ones.  No idea where to look for that...

(I'm NOT afraid of snakes, lizards, frogs, insects, etc. into infinity, but spiders?  My blood literally goes cold.  My phobia is that bad.)
