Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: Introducing Reality To The Deluded

I figure I may as well write about Saturn Neptune seeing as the full moon is setting it off, big time.

Reality is obscured from Saturn Neptune types like me. And when your introduce reality to a Saturn Neptune type you can expect them to not know what you’re talking about.

This is a conversation between HQ and I some years ago. We were working on my book which is about my life.

“You sure were trouble,” he said.

“What? Trouble? What are you talking about, I’m trouble.”

“You were a lot of trouble when you were a kid,” he said.

“What? What do you mean? I was not a lot of trouble when I was a kid! I was no trouble at all for anyone!”

I couldn’t believe it. I had no idea what he was talking about this. This is the way it was back then. I just could not function on where this guy was coming from, or what he’s was talking about half the time. It was like he was insane or something.

“Elsa,” he said in a non-condescending way. “You were trouble when you were a kid.”

“HQ,” I said, becoming very agitated. “I don’t know what the hell you are talking about!” My voice had begun to increase.

“Look,” he said calmly and confidently as if this were a debate he was going to win. “You stole a truck.”

“Oh for Godsakes! I did not! I did not steal a truck,” I said. “Oh, for crying out tears. I stole a truck? Is that what you think?”

“Elsa, you stole a truck. You took someone’s truck without permission and you went to the store. Do you not recall this? Do you not think this is trouble?”

“No! I borrowed that truck. And it was my grandfather’s for chrissakes! How can I be stealing a truck when I brought it back and put it right where it goes?”

“Look. Taking something without permission is stealing. And did you have permission to take that truck?”

“Er… no.”

“And you were 10 years old. 10! And I’m sorry. Any 10 year old who steals a truck is trouble in my book.”

“Um… I see. Well I am going to have to think about this, HQ. Because it has never occurred to me that I was trouble… some kid who was trouble. I thought no one was harmed in the making of that movie so I can’t see how I that could be trouble. I thought that was no harm, no foul but since you’re so sure about this, I’m going to think about it, okay?”

“Okay.”

“Okay,” I said, all discombobulated.

“Shall we move on now?” he asked.

Has anyone ever told you something about yourself that should be obvious but isn’t… or wasn’t?

skip to “Just Who is Elsa Anyway?”

Yes. Apparently I am social/sociable. People tell me this. Only in the last few years has it started sinking in, that by golly, indeed I am! See, I have this image of myself as a loner. A lone wolf.

The thing is, I am both: a loner and social/sociable. That is another thing I have learned, and this one I now have down pat: we can be, think and feel two seemingly contradictory things at the same time.

    So I am a sociable loner! 🙂

Also… I am social/sociable in my own way, which is different from how most other people are (s/s), which is why I had a hard time seeing myself as social/sociable. But I now know that, in my own way, I very much am.

  2. I refuse to believe I am intimidating, despite the fact that numerous people have claimed that I am. I cannot see how anyone could ever be intimidated by me, ever. It seems to me that if I was intimidating, I would know. It is possibly because I have poor eyesight and squint a lot, which might seem like scowling to some. This is the only explanation I can come up with.

  3. Everyone always tells me I sound mad all the time. I think I simply sound direct. No bullshit. But angry? Not me! I guess that’s what a Mercury/Mars conjunction will do.

  4. *lol* Midara, that comment rocks!

I’m with Ariel, people tell me I’m intimidating. I was even used as an example of how to be intimidating without being scary! And I’m dating someone who’s labelled intimidating and doesn’t understand it either.
I can see how others would think he is – he’s tall and bulky, with a shaved head and a very strong presence. We’re stumped on me, though, I’m quite short and female! With a really bad temper. 😉

I’m slowly beginning to see what people mean, though. I think it has more to do with “alpha wolf” behaviour – both of us walk “erect” (like we own the place), make very strong eye contact, and have authoritative voices. We back that up with a take-no-bullshit attitude, strong opinions, and a willingness to take the reins (both of our charts are predominately cardinal). I guess that could be intimidating to some.

  5. Haha, no way. Good luck trying to as well, My Virgo AC is tied into a Virgo Saturn conj t-square Sag Neptune and Gemni Venus conj MC. The cherry on the cake is my AC sextile Scorp Uranus.

For close relationships I have a Libra Pluto 1st and a Taurean Sun 8th. The Pluto, Neptune, and Venus is tied into a mystic rectangle with my Aries Mercury 7th. Mercury and Neptune go on further to form a Grand Trine with my Leo Mars 11th, Kited by my Pluto Mercury Opp. And… my Mars/Jupiter/Moon/North Node Leo Stellium in the 11th House is squared by my 3rd House Uranus. And Neptune touches everything but Uranus.

People have an idea of who I am, but nobody knows who I am, except maybe Neptune/Pisces types. I would love to meet somebody who just got me but it hasn’t happened yet. I don’t even know who I am half the time.
