You use the current day for the chart which is good for that day.  Does that answer your question, Lawence11?

Got it, thank you. Interesting, I read that the part of fortune plays a huge role in charts that were studied. I did a chart for a certain day and the part of fortune is conjunct the ascendant. I need to look more deeply into this. lol

Celeste Teal on her website www.moonvalleyastrologer.com has a lot of good info.  I have a couple of her books and they are well written and very informative.

Remembered this post but was really surprised when it was exactly a year ago that I last posted.  This year on March 5 my mom was in a car accident (she's ok, car is not) and husbands old Mustang starter crapped out and needed to be towed.  Busy, unusual day.  With diurnal charts the angles are really important whether they have planets conjunction them or if the angle of the day conjunctions a natal planet.  My diurnal for the day had Mars conjunct asc and Neptune conjunct IC.  confused  Also had interesting natal chart transits including (within minutes) Mars and Mercury on two corners of my grand cross and Uranus I conjunct moon.

Of course I checked out my Mom's charts too:  tight transits of Uranus (cars) and Mars on progressed and natal charts.  Her diurnal  had Mars conjunct IC if I adjust birth time by 5 minutes.  A really accurate birth time is needed to use a diurnal and a 1-2 degree orb is used.
