Is your Solar Return Sun in the 9th? How's it going?
Just checked my SR chart, and my Sun's in the 9th this year (since November 6 birthday).
Exactly 8 months in, this year doesn't seem like it's been overly "9th-housey" at first glance. I do have 
, 
, and S. node in 9th natally, so it's generally an active house for me anyway.
I haven't done any travelling at all this year, and some stuff like yoga and meditation (9th house-type stuff), which used to be very important to me, have kind of gone by the wayside.
However, a big thing here is drastically increased focus on astrology (that's 9th house, right?). This is something I used to only have a cursory interest in til late 2012. Since a little before my last b-day, I've kept a daily journal and been noting the sign/degree/phase of the moon. This has made astrology a very real part of my everyday life, and been a useful reference for how the heavenly bodies impact my daily life.
I'd also say I've slowly been feeling more optimistic, understanding, accepting of my place and role in life/society--however imperfect it sometimes seems--and this has been a relief. Astrology has helped a great deal with this. I've mos definitely been reexamining long-held beliefs and ideas.
It's been a good year thus far.
