I’ve been eating too much birthday cake! It’s time to cleanse the body! I’m adding spinach and I am going to swirl in some fresh eggs to make it “egg drop soup” 

picked up my husband some lamb steaks because I know this alone will not be enough for him!

@allie120 yes- it’s David Tannis’ recipe which I love all of his cookbooks! So simple. It’s delicious! First time I made it was just as written (without the eggs or toast) I was under the weather and it was very soothing! Super flavorful for such a quick thrown together soup!

I swear I’m not manic but I was just going and going. I wonder if this is what it feels like to have Mars in Gemini 😅. I will have to check other versions of my chart. 

I made pumpkin and tomato soups. They’re really not difficult or time consuming by themselves. Then I had found this good looking venison recipe and decided to try it. I will share.

I cheated and used Pillsbury puff dough or whatever that dough is called. This is a really good dish! It’s now my favorite way to use ground venison without adding another meat (I do not like meatloaf in any form).

Mine isn’t as pretty as the link’s but it was good and my husband had three pieces.

@allie120 😄My goodness you have been a busy bee 🐝. It’s getting close to dinner time here, so I really wouldn’t mind a piece of that yummy looking pie!. Hope you are currently enjoying a well deserved sound sleep. It wouldn’t surprise me if you are dreaming about your next cooking adventure 😄.

My usual late summer/fall “nesting” has been extended. Part of it is due to our new side project (semi-farmer), my recent delve into making yogurt and simple cheese, some attempt at more self sufficiency, and I make my husband’s lunches and now he can have whatever soup he wants each day.

It’s just fun, too. I am normally a very simple meal planner because I usually like a meat/protein, and one or two side (salad, vegetable). Simple but flavorful. It’s nice to have new recipes in the rotation for when I want to take the time.

I often use the Pillsbury flaky biscuits as the crust to chicken pot pie. Just roll it out like pie crust.
