My husband. He can turn scary in an instant.
My younger son. He has it in his first house along with Scorpio rising. He's naturally aggressive. Since he's so young I haven't seen the scary yet. He's still a mama's boy. But I see hints of it.
My husband has Mars,Venus and the Sun there. He is the most gentle man l have ever known. He has not an aggressive bone in his body. We have been married for 35 years so, you would think l would have seen it if he were.
The thing that l have seen is he has had to be on the defensive when it comes to an attack on his money and finances. He has aggressors in this area and he has had to be on the defense many times. It is a real sore spot
Every time I hear about Mars in Scorpio now, I think about this one astrologer who got into it with Elsa on the blog, years ago. I found this lady's blog and whoa Nellie, she wrote a whole diatribe about how her Mars in Scorpio makes her Mars superior to Elsa's, blah blah blah blah. She also had some snide comments for those of us who support her, like we're a bunch of lemmings. That post left a bitter taste in my mouth. It was not a good look on that astrologer. What a pompous ass.
I was just thinking about this more. Mars in Scorpio doesn’t really mean anything except will directed in a certain way, ie covertly in Scorpio. It doesn’t really have anything to with ethical or unethical behavior. I actually really dislike ethics of a certain placement even brought up in astrology because anyone can have principles, no matter what their chart. So, in the case of Mars, the kind of ethical standard the native abides by (or doesn’t) will have a heck of a lot to do with how that will is applied in life.
In the case of Scorpio, which rules destruction, well some things should be destroyed, like systems of slavery, etc. Ghandi for instance used his will to help destroy a system of oppression that was in place, but he wasn’t interested in destroying any one person, he just wanted more for his fellow humans and he did it peacefully! He followed his own ethical practice of the nonaggression principle, and it was incredibly effective largely because he was loyal to that ethical principle.
