Thank you. My mother shared a lot of her feelings about this loss with me as well as showing me her keepsakes. That is a memory I will treasure. The last church my husband and I chose to attend was chosen in part because in the cemetery there was in individual with the same name as this child.

I did a lot of genealogical research on my family at one time so this is something I would notice and my husband loves history and cemeteries.

No, not weird. I think we are drawn to the things that will heal us in some way. I like history and cemetaries,too. Not the sanitized ones but the old old ones. The energy is amazing to me!

There are seven generations of my father's family buried in one cemetery in the northern part of my state. Now that's a lot of family history in one place. A tree had grown up and knocked over one marker and it was not known that the couple in that area had been buried in that cemetery until just recently. It added another generation there.

That's pretty cool MM! Back in Chicago there were two cemetaries on either side of the street I'd often walk past. One I didn't like to walk past because it just felt "off" so I'd always cross the street and that one felt peaceful to me. I had no idea that my great grandparents were buried there. Now, that's probably weird Most of the rest of the prior generations are buried in another Catholic cemetary along with many of my husband's family members. We visited one last time before we left and it was pretty remarkable how close by they are to one another.
