There is a reason for this dual planetary assigment, it is based on the morning rising and evening setting appearances in the cycles of Mercury and Venus. Mercury morning star Promethean is Gemini, Mercury evening star Epimethian is Virgo and Venus morning star Lucifer is Taurus, Venus evening star Hesperus is Libra.
Isnt the only real difference between a planet and an asteroid the size? I am sincerely asking. Also...do you consider Pluto still rules Scorpio since its not a planet anymore?
Ah ha ha. I read a few webpages about animals' heaven, before adding the word astrology to my search. I haven't read any of Barbara Hand Clow's books...
I think it has it's roots in the symbol of the temple priestess (which would include Vestal Virgins). That sort of explains the focus on purity, cleansing and routine which would be needed by priestesses doing sacred rituals etc. Originally though virgin just meant ‘unmarried, self-reliant woman,' but because of the Vestal Virgins (who were actual virgins as we know the word today) the word virgin became associated with them and their sexual purity. The other ‘unmarried women’ of the ancient world were the prostitutes which explains Virgo's dualism- the 'sacred priestess/ virgin' and the 'sacred prostitute/ whore'. All mutable signs have that dualism. It’s really interesting stuff!
In my opinion:
Taurus - Venus
Gemini - Mercury
Virgo - Ceres
Libra - Pallas
I did not know that, WinterMoon.
