I've used Placidus since I started learning astrology back in 2005.  However, I'm starting to think Equal is more accurate.  When Uranus was conjunct my Mars in Placidus 9H, I did not travel at all.  I did get heavily into occult and metaphysics at the time, which is more 8H.  My Mars definitely has a Jupiter feel to it, but it is trine Jupiter natally, so its hard to decipher the difference between 9H influence and Jupiter.  My Mars is very contained to be a 9th house Mars.  Volcano-ish.  I think it has more attributes of a Scorpio Mars than a Sag Mars, but then again my Mars is in Aries and contra parallels Pluto.  In Placidis, my Mercury also shifts from the 8th to the 7th house.  This one is also difficult to decipher because my Mercury aspects Pluto by sesquare and I have Pluto in the 3rd house using both house systems.  My Mercury also squares Uranus, which is my 7th house ruler.  I can relate to Merc in H7 and H8.

That reminds me of myself. My Mercury/Mars conjunction was placed in the 7th house in the Placidus chart. And it just doesn't completely work for me. But with the Whole System, my Mercury/Mars conjunction is in the 8th house and that was like a light bulb going off with a strong BINGO! My mental processes are always suspicious of others and everything. I am always analyzing mysteries and things of that nature. And I have a sharp tongue, having Mercury in Virgo makes that a double whammy. I just wish that more Astrology sites would deal with the Whole House System in explaining charts.

I've always used Placidus.  That was what I learned on.  The Equal and Whole House system charts look almost identical with my Placidus chart, except for a couple of asteroid house placements.

I can't use Whole House because it moves my Sun from the 12th house to the 1st house and I am definitely not a 1st house Sun.

I have been checking Placidus, Equal, and the Whole System since I been on this site. I can see pieces of each chart working for me. Franken-chart. lol.
