Hi, I, as I stated in another thread, I have transit Neptune on my Mercury, and I just realized this transit is bringing out a liar in me, and it's very strange. Strange because I've never in my life lied about little irrelevant things before.
Irrelevant because the lies are seriously innocent. Like someone asks me "youve been catholic all your life, right?" and since they asked "right?"" as if that's what they wanted to hear, to hear me say YES, I just say YES. I'm lying because it's easier or something. Its the strangest thing and I really don't like it at all.
Lol. For the rest of this transit, I think I'm going to have to be very careful not to lie, just because I think it's what people want to hear.
Do you have Merc Neptune? Do you know what I'm taking about?
I have the opposition by transit. My Mercury is 11 Virgo. It's brought out the opposite (ha) effect with me. I spent a good part of this transit (it was exact last year and will be exact again late this year) exposing people who presented themselves fradulently. Now, I told my share of white lies (mostly to keep the peace, with a Libra Moon), but nothing like I came across. I was exposed to narcissists, sociopaths, gaslighting and people who made up their identities out of thin air.
As one can imagine, this was really stressful, but it also reinforced Virgo strengths, like honesty and integrity. I wasn't ever going to stoop to that insane level.
I have a prominent Neptune/Mercury in mutual reception by house. I call it... an over-active imagination. My aspect is a square. Truth is something very important to me, and I like to see it as using my Mercury to figure out and see through the illusions and lies. There are many positive manifestations of Mercury/Neptune.. spiritual ones, psychic ones, creative artistic ones, imaginative ones
Could I lie if I wanted to? Sure... I could lie very naturally, it could take only a Mercury/Pluto to figure it out. I used to lie to get out of trouble when I was younger, but these days - no way. I value truth, and my Mercury sextile Saturn in Sagittarius keeps me honest.
I just find it strange, because under this transit it's very easy to lie... on accident. Yes, on accident - even though you may not think lying can be an accident, I've discovered it can be. You can just be having a conversation with someone, with no intention to lie, and a lie slips your mouth for no apparent reason, except to help the person sitting next to you keep believing what they want to believe...Neptune.
But anyway, I think I'm going to tell that person I haven't been Catholic all my life... I don't even think they will remember asking me that...Neptune. But I'll feel better... I'll just say I was agreeing with them that I had been Catholic all my life, but realized after the fact that I had lied...I honestly didn't realize it until a second or two later...and I should have corrected, but let it go for some reason. So Neptune.
Yes, I'm a Neptune figure, Sun in Pisces. I sometimes will tell a white lie impulsively, out of politeness, to be nice. Add in my Libra rising.
Foggy as h3ll.

My husband has mercury conjunct neptune natally. He does this kind of thing all the time. Drives me nuts. Don't say yes when the answer is no!
I ask him not to answer right away, and question his answers. He doesn't always like that, but when reminded of all the times I haven't gotten the full or accurate story, and the consequences that has on being taken seriously, he understands.
I can't help having mercury square pluto any more than he can help having mercury conjunct neptune.
