I think most people find this forum when trying to find info on some massive outer planet transit going on in their lives. I know I did. I have repeatedly heard that transits from inner personal planet are not very significant, just astro 'weather'.
My question is, what if in a period of 4 days, it is an astounding 5 planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) and one asteroid (Juno) stellium, all in a tight (<5 degree) conjunction with the natal Ascendent? Also, the new moon is on the same degree.
It looks like a party given especially for my benefit. ?? But I have had hyped up expectations (both good and bad) from transits before and have been disappinted. What do you think about this?
Elsa's post on Leo and Virgo stellium in August was very helpful. I am looking for more insights into how such a massive stellium works when it illuminates just one single sensitive angle/planet in natal chart.
My instant feeling as I read your post was "I wonder how her book is coming along" ...
I've had that happen too, when transits bring in something, just not in the way I expected, or more often it's not as dramatic as I would have built it up to be in my head.
Haha! So sweet of you to remember. The book (or rather dreaming about it) was on hold because we were on vacations and travelling. Been piecing together character arcs bit by bit, mostly based on dreams and daydreams. I have just selected a table, chair set that after many arguments, husband has agreed to let it be a writing oasis where I can escape. These are just plans, let's see what will come of them.
Do you think if we expect transits to behave a certain way, we dissipate their impact somehow? If we didn't know about them, would they affect us more strongly?
I think this is a really interesting question because it touches on the age old debate of what is free-will vs. what is fate.
Personally, I don't think the energy dissipates by us knowing, but what potentially changes is how we respond. More often what we think we know may not be what actually is, in such situations no matter how much you think you're aware or are prepared we can still be swept off our feet.
Also, I believe that some things we're not meant to know until Divine timing; this happens a lot where I will suddenly see something new in my chart that was always there but somehow hidden from me.
Perhaps some things in life are just meant to be lived .. and only then do we know without a shadow of doubt.
Personal planet transits definitely matter. I think the way it would work best here, especially with the New Moon, is to set some kind of focused intention for the next month that deals directly with your Ascendant (i.e. your physical self, the way you come off to others). That many planets together has a lot of potential and it could set off something long-term down the road, but I think there's more an element of "choice" involved. Whereas the outer planets are more fated (though I think there is choice there, too). The sphere of influence and time frame is smaller with personal planets, but it doesn't necessarily have to be if you have a strong enough intention.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Very insightful. I have so many massive transits coming up. I guess I will be my own laboratory (in your words, life meant to be lived) and report back.
