This is my daughter's chart. She's a great kid, not much to complain about, though she can be a little overbearing with siblings at times. Exceptional student, gifted years beyond her age, doesn't need prodding to do her work, etc. My question is, where do you see her future career? She's talented in music, but also is a living encyclopedia when it comes to animals (both real and mythical), yet, is very sensitive and doesn't see herself in veterinary medicine. Imagination through the roof. She writes fictional stories and music for fun. I know it will be up to her, but I want to provide learning opportunities where they will fit her best, so she can find her passion and run with it.

Is she having trouble deciding? She’s a Leo. I love her chart: the Capricorn fortitude, the sensitivity of Pisces moon and the Virgo. I feel like she knows what she will do. Maybe let her guide?

@allie120 Thank you. Yes, she doesn't know, and I get it! And I am totally on board with her deciding for herself. I just realize that she doesn't know what she doesn't know. So if I can plan some strategic field trips or other experiences that would help put some of the more likely options into clearer focus, I want to do that.

Recently at a doctor's appointment, she asked the doctor some questions and the doctor was so excited to share, and offered my daughter the opportunity to shadow one of the nurses for a day, and learn some things like how to take blood pressure, etc. And it occurred to me that, while she isn't particularly interested in medicine, she could do that sort of thing somewhere else and perhaps find something that excites her.

@kim I always like that phrase “you don’t know what you don’t know”. It’s so true, not matter how old you get!

I love that your daughter asks questions. Even if the questions aren’t necessarily meant as a way for her to forge a specific path, it’s such an enriching way to go through life!

It seems like you’re doing well, and can present her with upcoming opportunities and see if she’s interested.

With Saturn and Mercury in Virgo in 8th, Mc in Scorpio and a Cap-Cancer Asc - Desc, with Venus in Cancer 6th, I think she would make excellent doctor (or vet if she prefers animals). She does have high sensitivity (Pisces, cancer) which can be a pro and con for this type of profession but also = good bedside manner (Venus cancer 6th). Her earth, air placements may help her solidify and detach from overwhelm? Capacity to deal with immense levels of detail and memory retaining capacity, precision (Saturn Mercury 8th Virgo) - think surgery (Mars ruled) (also Mars in Gem, capacity with details, and use of hands), capacity to deal with life/death boundaries, death in general (8th h Saturn, Mercury, Mc scorp), desire to improve society, betterment of people's lives, Jupiter in Aqua. The Pisces Moon with uranus is a sensitive spot. But if you train as doc you can specialise, maybe into psychiatry, or something else she discovers to be a calling.*

*Edit to add, also medical or psychological research.

With the Virgo /Pisces and Venus in 6th, she will have to serve in some way. That's her key to happiness and feelings of satisfaction.
