Hello,I'm new to astrology so I'm clueless about what this means....supposedly I go into a Pluto in 1st house transit starting 12-31-2018.Im a capricorn ascendant.This transit lasts about 25 years!
My Pluto transits...
My natal Pluto was Pluto retrograde in libra (9th house).
9th house until 1987 (parents divorced)
10th house until 1997 (scorpio)....not sure what important changes could've been here ..other than graduating high school,getting a job,driving a car,etc.Nothing dramatic but I grew up basically with very little freedom and this helped.
11th house (sagittarius) until 2007...maybe a change in thinking,used to go out with friends more,drank often,but stopped completely around this time....12th house (sagittarius) until 2018....mother was murdered in 2007,two other relatives and one friend died within a few months.Had a huge amount of debt,lost my job.Not a good time...but this could be due to a Saturn return which was during that time(?). .....things became better soon but was a rough period.My natal Saturn is in the 8th house..
I have lived with a parent (my father) since I was 10,I'll be 40 next year.I find that really really embarrassing.But I've lived a very sheltered life and his health will only become worse as he gets older.As much as I've wanted to become independent,I've always been afraid to.And he certainly wants to keep me at home because hes afraid of being alone.So part of me feels bad for him.I also support him financially.....so part of me wants to be more independent,but also he holds me back in a way.I have few friends and have never had a social life,never dated,etc.Very much a loner,though I do love to travel.I work a dead end job that pays ok but that I'm not satisfied with.
I've read some about Pluto transit through 1st house capricorn but only about people who had this in their childhood....what does it mean when someone enters this certain transit at 39?Does this mean life will suddenly change for the better or worse?Should I worry?

I see this as an exciting transit, an opportunityfor deep transformation.
Do you have any planets in 1st house?
It's going to be a very long transit, I expect you will feel it most deeply in the early years of the transit. Especially when Pluto transits the ascendant, the ascendant being a very sensitive point in the chart.
As Pluto transits your ascendant and I expect you might undergo some sort of personal crisis. With a Capricorn rising, Pluto might have you examine the beliefs you hold about responsibility and duty. Your may release old beliefs, patterns and habits that no longer serve you. It's possible you will do a deep evaluation of your life. You may have an opportunity to really take charge of your life.
Its likely you will undergo major changes including personality changes, changes in your appearance. Life might take a new direction for you. This could be a really empowering transit!
At 39 you are still young. It's not that embarrassing having lived with your parent up until now. I expect your going to have opportunities for change in the coming years.
On my natal chart?No,there are not any other planets in the 1st house.
But with transits for the next few years:
Saturn in the first house (capricorn)...dec 2019-March 2023.Saturn conjuncts Pluto starting March 2019.
There seems to be a few times between 2020-2023 where Jupiter and Venus both occupy the 1st house as well.. making an occasional 4 planets in that house at the same time.Im not sure if that's significant or not?
Some other planets:
Neptune in pisces (2nd house)...2012 until 2026
Uranus is in the 3rd house (aries) until 2021....4th house (Taurus) from 2021 to 2026
Pluto crosses the capricorn ascendant December 30 2018-January 29,2019

Yes, I was referring to 1st house planets in your natal chart. If you had some planets there pluto transiting those planets would impact you.
You can take a look at which natal planets will be aspected by pluto - eg it will be opposite 7th house natal planets.
Saturn is transiting your 12th house at the moment. That can be a tough transit.
I have mercury in the 7th house
12 house Saturn has been ok other than a stressful time here or there.If I had known anything about astrology before and knew that it was coming I may worry,but it's almost over.I thought 8th house Saturn was awful for me.

I wish I could personally tell you about Pluto in the 1st house but I haven't had that transit...I sure have had some rough Pluto transits though. I thought the 4th was harsh but I think the 6th.... hmmmm and with Saturn coming around...horrible.
