How has the change to a new sign on the ascendant in your progressed chart changed your appearance?
I read a comment here https://elsaelsa.com/forum/astrology/what-stand-out-in-your-progressed-chart/ by @jofrance about a change of hair colour from Scorpio to Sagittarius which got me thinking.
Since last year my prog. asc. changed from Libra to Scorpio. My hair is naturally light brown with some copper and blond mixed in. When it was in the last decan of Libra I started getting it highlighted as I was getting some grey. I ended up fairly blond as tends to happen with highlights over time.
I had to grow out my hair over the last 2 years due to lockdown restrictions, not being near a hairdresser, etc. I got it cut end of last year and no more blond. I've had a lot of comments about how dark my hair is now and I realised it's in line with starting the Scorpio Asc. period.
I'm also questioning my taste in clothes and am a bit unsure of how I want to proceed. In the last several years I have tended towards colour and I wear a lot of prints, especially nature inspired (Taurus Sun). I stopped wearing black and grey altogether. I am sure something is developing here which will have Scorpio overtones (Morticia from the Addams family?!) but not sure what!
Be interested to hear others experience of their appearance altering with these progressed watersheds.
You'll definitely present yourself in a new way. It's weird because you also exude a new vibe. How people interact with you influences this. Point being, it's not just your ascendant affected but your descendent as well.
@elsa That's a good point Elsa - that it will affect ways of relating. I quite like the idea of having Taurus on the descendant. People I know with that placement natally seem to treat others very well and are loving.
One thing I've noticed is that with prog Asc in Libra I ended up very sociable with a wide array of contacts, but with Scorpio I'm much more isolated with a few remaining contacts.
My hair was a warm brown during my progressed Scorpio ascendant. I colored it because I had some grey mixed in, but when my progressed ascendant changed to Sagittarius I started coloring it a medium blond color because it mixed well with my silvery grey hair. I still can't get used to it, to be honest. When I look in the mirror I still don't recognize myself.
My wardrobe has totally changed. I am much more sporty now and wear colors like coral, apricot, etc. When I had Scorpio on the ascendant I loved dark, rich colors. You get the picture.
The most dramatic change is in my demeanor. When I had Scorpio on the ascendant, I experienced life a lot more deeply than I do now. I would never trade that time in my life for anything. It encompassed my entire computer career from start to finish, but now I'm in a different place.
My progressed asc recently changed to Pisces, and while I've not noticed much of a change, my hair colour is slightly darker and my clothes are less structured, more comfortable, and I've taken to wearing some shoes which are shiny, metallic and very 'ocean'-coloured ?
@plutolover I have a Pisces Moon and it does encourage a preference for wearing looser, flowy clothes, but I've seen Pisces sun's take that to a whole other level of floating clothing!
During the 16 years since my Ascendant progressed to Aries, my formerly somewhat straight eyebrows have grown more arched (naturally, not via tweezing or such). Hair grows quickly, now 12 inches long from center part to ends, with all previous color trimmed off inch by inch over 22 months. I need more and more layers of wool and fleece with each winter, even here in FL.
The prospect of Ascendant progressing to Taurus is puzzling -- will I finally take up fitness training and bulk up? Pierce my nose? Grow horns??? ?
