Yes its usually because of immaturity. Young people will usually do this. It came up in conversation. The people I know of that did this were scorpio /Taurus.

 As a young immature scorpio I have done this. A lot of things I did as a young person out of revenge always came back to bite me. I was just not conscious of how my actions could affect so many people.

 I am not much into revenge anymore. Let go let God.

The backlash from this would be... painful.

At worst, it's a sign that someone might have a personality disorder. I don't know this for sure, but I wouldn't be shocked if a narcissist or a psychopath did this.

At best, it's just someone who's extremely hurt and immature.

My other thought regarding this was that only an unevolved Scorpio would engage in revenge sex. A Scorpio who has evolved would engage in sex like it's a spiritual experience because a spiritual connection can be intense.
