@Nutsy - ME TOO!!!!! I can completely relate.
Gah - I didn't realize this was going to be another "Dog on Scorpio" thread. Seems to be a lot of these lately. :-p
Can we please have a topic about this sign for once without somone doing a drive-by PSA to tell us what bastards they are, LOL? Pretty please? It's OT and distracting and is bound to piss people off when it's not what they come onto the thread for. We're purely discussing the eagle facet of this sign's symbolism, and since our hostess is tied up what do you say we all do our parts to help keep a potential spinout from occuring somewhere, eh?
BTW, this Plutonian does not backstab. If I'm going to hurt you, you'll see it coming a long ways away. A true friend stabs you from the front - I am not an ambush predator. 😉
No kidding. Enough with crapping on Scorpio. It is obvious when the sign gets ripped apart there is an axe to grind.
Sorry. I know there are nice Scorpios out there. My 11th house is Scorpio so I tend to draw some of these people into my life and they're the negative ones. I know there are the ones who have evolved to a higher plane and are kind, nice people too. I just haven't met many of them. One time a girl at a job asked me if I was a Gemini, I said 'no' she said good, every single one she met was no good. LOL. And so something must have been in Gemini like a badly aspected Saturn. All Sun Signs have their angels and their devils, sorry if I came off as tough, just an axe to grind with some mean people I knew in the past. Twins born a short time apart can be very different - I will explain this some time in the future - and they can choose to be good people or mean...
"Can we please have a topic about this sign for once without somone doing a drive-by PSA to tell us what bastards they are" - Ditto. Thanks Alethea.
I want to say, apart from the new Saturn in Scorpio class, I needed to avoid this blog and boards entirely due to the prolific hate on Scorpios constantly going on. Last thing I need is all that negativity on a daily basis.
I will share my poor attempt at an ode to Scorpio. This was written for my mother for Mother's Day a few years back:
Mother, May I Be Your Shadow
May I walk in your footprints,
A pale reflection of the love that you hold.
May I carry your love to all that I meet,
Only a shadow of the love that you've shared.
May I hold within my heart the compassion that is yours,
Only a drop in the well-spring that you hold.
A neighbor in need
A friend in pain
A stranger in despair
That's where I'll find you
I know you'll be there.
Mother, may I be your shadow.
You planted the seeds within my heart
From the first day you held me in your arms.
You nurtured them through many a day
Fed them with love and watered them with tears.
Tiny shoots and shallow roots
Growing stronger every day.
In times of trouble
I look to my beacon of light.
The path that you've shown me
The living example to follow.
Mother, may I be your shadow.
May I walk in your footprints,
A pale reflection of the love that you hold.
May I carry your love to all that I meet,
Only a shadow of the love that you've shared.
May I hold within my heart the compassion that is yours,
Only a drop in the well-spring that you hold.
Mother, may I be your shadow,
A pale reflection,
Only a shadow....
