I've never looked at the vertex! Should i?

Last year I had juno square my vertex. Both good and bad things happened in a very short period of time. Two relationships went through very fateful points. My natal vertex conjuncts my venus and mercury in eigth.

At the time I had a love-interest, there was a pretty big distance between the two of us because we argued a few months ago. Anyways, there were a couple of crazy coincidences that gave the two of us the opportunity to hang out almost every day. By the end of the week, I could totally tell that he was into me and I found out a lot more about his character. Around that time, I realized I wanted to date him.

About a week later, I had a huge falling out with a long-time friend. I'd been going through a really difficult period, as was she. I'd been going out of my way to support her emotionally and I really needed someone to talk to about my situation. In addition to all of this, I'd been doing her a huge favour, and very few people could do this for her. We had an argument, and she said something really bad about me. We were good friends and everything but I realized then and there that she was so ungrateful for everything I've down for her. The next day, we backtracked a little but never apologized. After that point, we were never that close, I can't really cut her off because she knows too much about me, but we can't really be 'real' friends anymore, ever, for mysake. I'm glad I found out though.

Where can you find a listing of Vertex transits?

@Josephine: Find out where your Vertex is in your natal chart on astro.com, and then look in the ephemeris to see when transiting planets conjuncted it in the past (or squared it perhaps - both are potent transits).

I couldn't find the symbol for the Vertex in the astro.com ephemeris? Theirs seems to list the planets, BML, and Chiron, but didn't see the Vertex.
