I'm surprised Libra is considered a Cardinal sign. The descriptions of us always make us sound like limp dicks!

Libra's are so damn pretty. All the time. Show me an ugly one. You just can't. They are fair, and very nice. And, smart! ....don't piss one off though.....whoa....

As a cardinal heavy person myself, and having many cardinal heavy people in my life, sometimes it’s hard for me to differentiate their qualities.

I think all Cardinal signs have an abundance of courage. To touch on some common tropes, it takes courage to go to war (Aries), courage to be a mother (Cancer), courage to love (Libra), courage to climb (Capricorn).

I find that overall direct advice doesn’t always work with Cardinal signs, even when we want to accept it. I don't mean in a stubborn way, because we appreciate insight and perspective and will seek it out, but in terms of the concrete what and how we “should” do something, especially if it’s unsolicited. A lot of the time, when we ask questions or for advice it’s to access or crystallize our own intuition, or to remedy our ignorance about something, or to fulfill our curiosity. Cardinal signs will feel oppressed (and "rebel"), and grow resentful if they leave the concrete choice and action of their lives to someone else. I think this comes down to what is referred to as the “pioneering” quality of the Cardinal signs. We need to experience something for ourselves. Sometimes we'll look back and say, Oh this is what they meant by that. I think this can be hard for some of the other signs to watch, when for them some truths just are and can be more quickly and easily accepted. I think what leads us to and through experience is a strong internal compass that is not always conscious, though often is. We pave the way through experience.

Though it’s often given to Mercury or Jupiter, I associate the symbol of the Storyteller with the Cardinal signs.

I find most descriptions of Libra to be very flawed.

Not all of us Cancers are crying all the time, I am so offended right now.

LOL just kidding, we are really sensitive. Sometimes I can laugh at myself over this, sometimes I can't. However, if you dismiss my feelings as completely irrational you'll get pinched and then we'll disappear to start a new project with our abundant cardinal energy and express all our passion and sensitivity and it will be great. Or we'll just bake cookies. ?
