I think the directness of Jupiter can come across as intimidating. Mostly in aspect to Sun. Also in easy aspect rather than hard aspect. So it comes through the person it does not seem like they are in conflict with their Jupiter and obviously not Jupiter retrograde.

But I do not get easily intimidated by others. People try and have a go at me sometimes and I register it as a request for information and clarify my position and they get deflated they haven't been able to intimidate me on this occasion. Even those it might be sensible for me to be intimidated by. So perhaps I don't have enough sense to know who's chart to look at.

Very interesting. Hadn't considered Jupiter at all or aspects between Jupiter and Sun. Will think about that.

I think it’s interesting that Elsa mentioned Mercury. I don’t get intimidated easily. But I do get intimidated when I’m around really smart people BUT I value smarts A LOT! I highly value people who I consider smart.

Sun conjunct Mars

Aries rising and Capricorn MC (Pluto recently crossed it - doubly intimidating)

I have a Virgo Mercury like you. Virgo suffers no fools, and Mercury in the sign is whip smart. It indeed scares people.

I'm actually very easygoing, but people have to crack my veneer to see it.
