the few I have known, and have met, and/or have known through other friends, they seem to like alot of space even if they have Scorpio. lol They also seem to like their friends more. It seems that way to me. Which is frustrating.  Even if the rest of their chart is all water and earth, that one mars singularity is afraid of commitment too. They seem to allow their potential mates or any they are interested in go through hoops and circles and run around mazes, because of their "fear"... I think it's because Aquarius is co-ruled by Saturn, and that allow alot of fear. They are afraid deeply of being rejected. So therefore they will just suffer, making others suffer too, and if they see someone going through hoops and the hot coals of fire, almost dying of love for them, then they make an inch of a move. It seems so frustrating. lol 

edit - alot of people would just give up, so only the persistent stick around. their fear is debilitating.

Good analysis elisa.... my son has an aqua mars and he is a Taurus Sun.  You know how Taureans are generally very cuddly and touchy feely? Not my son.  His Aqua Mars makes him very detached and he feels smothered very easily.  I can remember all the way back to when he was a baby, he hated for me to hold on to him and sit still.  To hold him for a long time, we had to be moving, so I would pace the floor, go outside...or he would have to just be dead tired and ready to go to sleep. 

Come to think of it my little puppy dog also has an aqua mars and she is the same exact way, haha.  She is also a taurus.

i'm also understanding the reason why many of these Aquarius placements go for "friendship" more, not all of them, but it's because being friends doesn't "hurt" them, emotionally. And the rejection is too fearful in the love department. Friends can hurt yes, but it's not the same with love, and romance, where you feel the deep failure. With friendship, you can just enjoy and come and go as you please and no one needs to commit to anything. With romance and commitment there's so much responsibility tied to it. And if you get left and they leave you, the devastation is too much. Maybe that's why. And Air is not like water where water understands the sorrow and tears drowning in the river metaphor. Air needs to be buoyed up, just like Fire. the  Air/Fire needs to rise, not drown. I think if they have Water/earth, they have the capacity to understand better with others instead of being up in the air all the time ;p

Funny, my Sag son has Mars in Aquarius and he is super clingy! Must be the Cancer moon? 

Unfortunately he is having trouble in his school (he is a little guy, small for his age and this is his first year in school). Another child is targeting him, hits him and so forth. He won't stand up for himself at all. Super scared. The other kid isn't even much bigger than him.

His Mars trines Saturn, and he has an Aries rising, but there is no courage away from his family. No assertiveness. Maybe he just doesn't want to be bothered.

I think it’s not his aqua mars that makes him not to fight I think it’s his moon in cancer moon in cancers are very kind individual that doesn’t even allow themself to speak loudly I think they are sensitive with others feeling especially with child’s but enough with cancer moon in aqua mars my self and I think that aqua mars are very intelligent person we pursue something by being very smart
