And thats odd for me because the aquarians i know are all ego, they just THINK they do a good job of hiding it.

I would agree that they have issues with others being paid attention. I think that is why the develop their "uniqueness" in order to stand out from the crowd.

I have three Aquarius friends (that I'm immediately thinking of) and none of them have a particularly obtrusive ego (of course they have them, everyone does), though they're all heavily mutable and have Mercury in Capricorn. I work with another that has Sun square Scorpio Pluto and a lot of Aries and he's insufferable. I just look at him quizzically and wonder "you actually give a shit about [whatever]?" I think he's capable of being jealous of a child.

I think the attention thing is a need for stimulus.

Gosh, I don't know. My mom and my brother are both aquarius and I can't figure them out at all. They are both really REALLY cold. I know my brother is jealous of me, he seems to openly seethe and I can't figure out why, perhaps he wants my freedom or perceives that I have more of it. They both seem hellbent on being unique and in front with something that really sets them apart from others and is ahead of their time.
