Yeah the Sun matters a lot when it comes to Cap Moon. A Cap Moon with a water Sun is not going to immediately present as cold. My husband the Scorpio with Cap Moon is not cold. He is very daddy-like. He is the Emperor in the tarot (if you know tarot and I know the Emperor is Aries energy technically, but it’s also number 4 so we have Saturn mixed in) but he has a definite soft side. He also has Moon sq Pluto so he can be intensely emotional at times. Anyways, I equate coldness with unfeelingness/lack of emotion, sternness, being closed off emotionally- to me that is cold.

My DIL and I have gone round and round. I had to tell her in 2019 that 'I don't work for her' .... this woman is made of nails and snakes haha. I said it when I said it. I say what I say. In front of whomever is standing there. She will not. This is a go behind the back gal. Do I love her? YES with all my heart. But she can go so cold. I mean, she turned on her parents. She is full of self doubt. Don't know why. She is gorgeous ... 5'8 or 9 with legs up to the sky. All that is great until its pointed at me... who was watching her kids every day all summer (while I worked- yes, with her kids) feeding them with never an offer of bringing a thing or a dollar.... handing out orders... I finally said girl... I do not work for you. She stopped talking to me over that for months. (and I didn't give a rats ass) still loved her. Not taking orders from someone who was getting free childcare, with pool passes to two pools, trampoline park, skating rink and gymnastics that cost me 250.00 a month. Yeah, I don't work for her. She decided if she couldn't hand out orders .... COLD. So, we went cold breeze for months. (I was not going around her rules for her children. I respect those) But.. Taurus doesn't budge. You won't move Taurus. I love her very much, but I wouldn't take it from my own kids.. and she has been around long enough she is one of my kids too. I don't take that cold routine. I take that as a challenge. Not speaking... lets see how long which one of us can last 🤣 .... she's a good girl. But not a hug to be found and if you find one... its so awkward. Beyond this I could sing her attributes. We all have crap... hers just happens to be cold as ice.
"self doubt" is baked in Cap. We cover up with what we know we can do..take charge. Saturn return(s) changed that for me. Sounds like you handle her well 
the moon comes out when you get close to someone, thats my understanding. So the moon shows itself alot, that makes sense what you wrote, that your husband isn't immediately cold.
I found those with capricorn moon work alot, always on the go. I dont know why it's in detriment. I do understand that celebrities i've read, that had problems in relationships who are male, are usually with capricorn moon, just like Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, (Weinstein, that creepy guy but he dont really count) and Ozzy Osbourne, has capricorn moon. I notice many go into deep depressions and have an outlet for drugs or other. If they aren't into working alot. I haven't studied that many capricorn moons, but for the women, they are harder in a personal relationship. Maybe like Virgo Venus which is in the fall, they are insecure. that insecurity will kill them.

I have been called cold, which always puzzled me, as I have a first house moon and am exquisitely aware of feeeeliiiinnnngs. I can also put myself in another's shoes pretty well. I've been told that I'd be a good therapist more times than I can count. Sun/Venus/Mars trine Pluto sextile Neptune.
hmm i think the astrologers have it right, Capricorn and Aquarius are cold, i think due to Saturn, but then Libra is exalted in Saturn and libra can be so cold. I know of Capricorn moons to be super cold, however, my mother is Libra sun/capricorn moon and she is, narcissistic at times, which is also what my sisters believe. Maybe its the venusian in her, and i've read some astrology stuff pertaining that venusians can look at themselves in the mirror, but this is just stuff that is a general sense. But she has a scorpio stellium and she feels like a martyr sometimes and she's honestly super generous and can be loving. To be honest, i have been called once by one of my husband's close relative only because she was expecting me to hug her the first time i met her. lol Im like wuuhh? im super shy. thats it. My own husband calls me super warm and loving and very affectionate. I'm sure he's not lying lol hes got a sag mercury. However, i'm super huggy and want to touch alot and snuggle. it feels right. It doesn't suit well with my Venus capricorn so i wonder where is the cold? lol Actually i do know, because after marrying two men who took my paychecks after working 2 jobs and being abused, I decided i'd marry a man who was responsible and took care of me and wouldnt take my paychecks, never buying myself anything. and i'd generously take care of him which i like doing anyway. I do have aquarius too, but i have plenty of water/fire, so maybe that's why. I can get detached in that i want to run away and just not deal with it, thats in the past mostly. My sisters do the same thing and they are 11th house suns, but no capricorn. they do have strong 10th house. However, out of the two, Capricorn is very cold, and i think Aquarius is cold in a sense that they detach, run away, and their heads in the clouds like a mindless wannabe professor who doesn't really understand humanity. lol and get sad if humanity does bad things. Does not compute. Reset please, reset, reset humanity to make it good. Capricorn though is wonderfully responsible and anyone lucky to have capricorn as family will never starve, be without a home, and will always be taken care of. They may not give you lots of hugs and kisses and snuggles, but they will take good care of you.
my capricorn grandmother was always so warm and loving to me though, so i dont know where the cold should be. lol Maybe because i'm her granddaughter. but she was cold to her other grandchildren. And i think its because she can be so insensitive, not really meaning to be. She would tell bluntly if a grandchild was overweight or needed this or that, and that hurt alot of their feelings. so they never wanted to come around to see her. My capricorn mother in law never does hugs and she only does because it's customary, but ever since covid, no one ever hugs much and she doesn't seem approachable to hug, but she is always smiling and has a jolly face and laughs alot.
my husband has alot of virgo, so that's cold supposedly, and maybe why he's ok with the capricorn and aquarius in me too.but he's got alot of sagittarius and i have alot of sagittarius too. so we " get " eachother. I also have alot of virgo so we " get " eachother there as well. We feel like home together.
i guess coldness can be someone who will not pay attention to you and not care about you. Ive witnessed even cold fishes, cold pisces i mean, where they run away and just get cold on you. Scorpio can be super super cold, just never seeing you ever. Cutting you off for good. that's cold. I think a cold person is mean and cruel and you dont want to be around them, thats what i think. And they are controlling and manipulative and will make you unhappy and uncomfortable, and make your life miserable. thats true coldness. Hmmm perhaps North Korea as an example is coldness, where i hear people are starving and there's very little food and the government controls them through this starvation process. you have to do what they say. That kind of thing. I think too that Saturn can be super stingy and that's cold in itself. (yes i get that frugality is good to have so you dont run out of the goods) but stingy like a miser when they have lots of money or enough, is bad to me. What are they gonna do? take it to them to the grave? That's why Jupiter is warmth and expansion, generous, so it makes sense. Too much miserly and stingyness is awful. If an individual is poor they never know any better. But when they come into money they wonder what ...what is this? this money should be shared and to give to people who need it too. Just enough so that there's still money enough for themselves so they dont starve.

I always said to get to my warm heart, you have to get through my bullshit first. It can be cold. Saturn in the 1st. Libra Moon. Venus in Virgo conjunct Uranus and Pluto. That last one is really chilly.
When we were dating, my Leo husband called me the ice queen! I am not a warm person. I think my entire chart is pretty cold! One planet in fire (Retro Uranus in Sag 1st house), and 4 planets in a 6h/12h see-saw, including that aforementioned moon in (virgo-ruled) 6h. Moon & Merc opposite Mars and Saturn. Neptune and Jupiter in Cap (that Saturn is killing me). Plus a stellium in Gemini - lots of air. Light. Not warm. I laugh in the wrong moments (when I'm uncomfortable) and am serious in the wrong moments (i.e. not warm). Plus Scorpio rising, yikes.
