Apparently due to a botched Crowdstrike update.

GLOBAL OUTAGES -

Major banks, media, airports and airlines affected by major IT outage

-Payment systems impacted in different parts of the world, including Australia and the UK.

- Australia's government calls for emergency meeting - Significant disruption to some Microsoft services

- 911 services disrupted in several US states including Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Ohio.

- Services at London Stock Exchange disrupted - Sky News is off air

- Reports the issue relates to problem at global cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike

Crowdstrike says the global IT outage was not caused by a cyberattack. Hmmm... One of major banks in my country had a serious outage last month. People could not access their accounts for a few hours. They always announce at least few days in advance if there is any maintenance scheduled. It took clients by surprise. There is something fishy going on.

The US Aviation Authority has required all flights to land due to a technical computer glitch.

It's a scene in a movie..."It will happen on a Friday..."
