Never heard of this before but I looked it up and I'm a Projector too (6/2). I don't really understand though- if we're not suppose to work or initiate things what should we be doing when we're not invited to give advice or contribute in some way? How are we suppose to live?!

From a couple things that Ive read, until we recieve an invitation, we are supposed to do what we love and just wait. This world is dominated by generators who have a built in source of energy (they call it a motor), but we cant sustain that as projectors. The prevailing attitudes about production being the most important thing, are generator principles, but they arent for everyone. At least this is my limited understanding.
Ive come to think of it as the projecters being the idea people and the generators being the ones who execute those ideas.
Theres this whole concept with Human Design of not-self, which I think applies to what youre asking. Its basically the conditioning we undergo here in this realm that takes us away from our “unique design”, how we are designed by the Universe to live.

I'm trying to refresh myself, is this about responding from our chakras? Or am I getting confused because as a Generator I'm supposed to wait to respond from my sacral?
I kinda get it, it's like me signing up for eharmony and then getting frustrated and saying screw this. Which is what I did after 11 months of being jerked around and having men I was matched with permanently banned.
What I don't understand is on one side of the figure is a list of planets that say "Design" then on the other side of the figure is a list of planets that say "Personality" what is this trying to tell me? For personality, my score is the highest for Uranus?! Weird, not trying to be funny

I started trying out the “wait for the invitation” strategy then just to see if it worked, and it makes life smoother. It's worked out very well for me for relationships and jobs.
When initiating doesn't work, waiting for the invitation works out really well. I feel it's the equivalent of taking the yin approach (Scorpio) when the yang approach (Aries) isn't working.

If youre a generator then you have a defined sacral center, but might have a different “authority”. You wait to respond from whatever authority you have.
As far as I know one set of planets is from the time you were born (personality, who you think you are, conscious expression) and the other is from about three months before you were born (your design, unconscious).
I think the main encouragement that Ive encountered in articles is to understand your type and authority first. Whats your authority Tam?
It didnt take me long to understand my type. Now Im looking into my authority, which Im a little stumped by. Wish we had an expert around here!:)

Nice! Thank you. The times that Ive consciously waited have turned out the best for me. It takes some presence of mind, for sure.
