I went grocery store shopping... no meat today. This is because the trucks are delayed, having to drive around the long way.

Friend is from NC, very near Asheville.  Her daughter still lives there, but was out of state when this hit.  The power at her house was restored today... out for nine days.

According to her, locals are getting it done, but her friends (more than one) say there are in fact, bodies in trees and the stench is horrific.

She also says they are having to beg people not to cancel vacations to the area as they local businesses need the traffic.  They say FEMA "ain't doin' shit."

@belladonna I know. The fact they have no power is causing a lot of stress. I got the impression people feel better once their power is on. I know I would.

@PixieDust was hit in the hurricane that hit New York and New Jersey some years back. She had no power for three months ago, as I recall.

That was the storm that made us buy a generator. I hope we never need it!

Numerous people say they are bulldozing bodies under, along with the debris. They are not recovering bodies.

I am sure I have clients hit by this.... SURE, but have not heard from a single person.

On bulldozing bodies, my husband says they do this because of the smell and disease. The bodies are essentially buried in a shallow grave. They come back later and recover them. This could be the case here. Don't know.

"No.

We will not send vinegar to NC.

We love them and are willing to do anything else but the NC BBQ nonsense can be stamped out forever if we stay strong."
