I struggle with depression and I'm recently coming out of a 2 year intense bout due to a situation I was in. I made it to the other side and I'm so thankful for that, although it's something I'll always battle against.
But this morning, in the shower getting ready for work, I made myself laugh and afterwards I was just so thankful and happy for that. Something so simple as laughing made things feel like life is truly alright.
So I'm just happy to be alive and able to laugh, despite everything else going on. Laughter is one of the best medicines!
Thanks @ all on my back. When I stop to think of it - surgeries + hit with a gravel truck, I'm very lucky! My husband is the patient, these days.
@ Bar in the Sky what you are doing sounds fun and very constructive!
3 months ago, we rescued a 1 year old kitten/cat. Our beloved black cat was not happy with us initially, and there was some territorial conflict between them. We were scared that they would never get along.
We rearranged our house to give them space/seperate areas and slowly reintroduced them for short periods at a time to build their trust/confidence.
After 3 months of TLC (and much patience), I am pleased to say they are now good buddies, and even give each other the occasional kiss. I am so happy that our effort has paid off, and now we are a peaceful, loving family 😻.
I’m happy for no reason lol. Can’t identify that one thing. Just generally good.
I'm happy today, because I finished the guide and I've got everything in hand, in spite of the stress. I feel in a state of grace.
