Side topic: anyone know or hear or have read anything about mouthwash disrupting the good bacteria or balance of it in the mouth and the detrimental or negative effects?

@allie120 I just know that if mouthwash is to be used it’s best to use one with no alcohol. Not only does alcohol based ones destroy good bacteria, but over time they can cause our teeth to decay. Some dentists even say just to use warm water and salt.

I think alcohol’s effects in our mouth is similar to antibiotics effects in our gut. Good bacteria is wiped out which makes us vulnerable to infections/health issues etc.

@hades-moon That’s what I saw in a clop and it prompted me to ask.

I use on called Hello!

You’d think dentists would say something. Well, I’ve never been told. 🫤

I read recently how the artificial sweetener Erythritol may increase our risk of blood clots. Luckily, I don’t consume artificial sweeteners. I have antiphospholipid syndrome, so I can’t risk going near this sort of stuff.

Surprised I could find this because it's been so long since I made it, but I did save a bookmark for this recipe I've used for making yogurt in an instant pot - if there's anyone who wants to try it that way: https://thisoldgal.com/instant-pot-greek-yogurt/

I told my friend about the yogurt and cheese and sent her a picture of the yogurt. She thought it was great and wondered if it could be made with almond milk.

So I looked quickly online and it appears you can but you must add the probiotics and maybe a thickener. I had never even wondered about how it was made. I have had coconut yogurt and different types like that but more out of curiosity or the flavor looked good.

I know there are vegan or vegetarians on here. What do you think about plant based yogurt? Have you ever made it or do you avoid eating it?
