My classmates just figured out from the feedback that our assignments for an Ethics class were all graded by chatGPT.

The university forbids us to use generative AI to write papers but apparently it’s fine to grade them… paying a small fortune to be judged by an algorithm 😭

@nick_c Holy shit!

This is the way a teacher puts themselves out of work.

Thanks for posting this!

Got my hair done today, you may remember my stylist's son is some kind of phenom on the football field.  He's a huge kid, he's always been a huge kid, he was adult-sized, when he was six. I know, I was there.

He is now ten years old, in 4th grade. He is sweet, sweet, sweet and funny kid, but mostly sweet.  He gave someone a concussion during a game last week. He is also already being scouted by schools.

The family whose son was hurt on the field, called the coach of her son's team to tell him two players from their team had come over to check on him.  My stylist asked him if he talked to the boy he hit - he said, "Of course, mom. I always go shake hands with everyone and thank them and tell them, good game."

I think they need to get him in a high school program.  From what I gather, it's not just his size. The boy is touched, I can feel it, when I'm sitting near his mom.  We're going to be reading about this kid someday.

New gal in exercise class today.  She was a teacher for 48 years.

My husband said she looked familiar. "I was probably your teacher, your kid's teacher, your grandkid's teacher, or something."

I learned of the death of a friend of a friend, not someone I know, but someone I know of. And for some reason it's hitting me a little hard. I'm in that mind frame of thinking about lives, and what people go through over the course of them, and how quiet death makes even the loudest of us.

All of this made me miss my 2 closest grandparents. I just miss them so much. Them and so many other people who I'll never see again in this life.

Earlier I visited my 88 year old grandmother. She's hanging in there, but she's tired, sleeps a lot and has to make sure she walks everyday or she won't be able to walk at all. She needs so much help. But I got to see her face and talk to her and give her a hug, and I'll take that while it lasts.
