Do people still tell small children, babies are delivered by stork?
@elsa I have a little collection of storks.... from my midwife days.
Funny thing...... I carried LARGE tackle boxes for my homebirth equipment.
Occasionally when bringing equipment in for a homebirth, little ones would ask
"Is the baby in the box?"
I dont think parents tell their kids much. Maybe the curious.
A funny memory as a child. My mother thought it was time to explain to my sister and I how babies were made. I was probably 5 or 6 and my sister is three years older than me. She rented this cartoon video at blockbuster that was just what it was supposed to explain to children and when she turned it on for us, well someone had slipped in an actual porn video! My mother, horrified- immediately turned it off. My dad, instantly started uncontrollably laughing and said “Well Camille, now they know how babies are made!”
Does anyone remember, Terry Bradshaw (football).
Turns out his grandfather, was the exercise lady's father. She is 71. This happened, because her mother married a man, 28 years older than her.
"I asked my mother, why did you marry an old man?"
"He was the best looking man, I'd ever seen."
@elsa Terry Bradshaw is still broadcasting as an NFL commentator. I watch the show most Sundays during the football season.
@myrna sorry. i dont keep up. They were talking about his playing days. Seemed a long time ago. Like another lifetime. In whatever case, they're kin.
@myrna they were reminiscing Franco Harris days. Seems so very long ago. I'm surprised he's still on, but the family has a lot of charisma and good genes!

We have a serial killer active here... they don't want to say it. Women turned up, hung... in a graveyard, on Halloween. Then another and there is a third one missing. Freaking scary. This is a sparsely populated area.
@elsa omgoodness, this is concerning/scary. I hope they get to the bottom of this fast and catch the perpetrator.
@hades-moon we don't have solid news on this. Just people talking, of course it's a small town(s) and things get out.
