My brother-in-law calls cicadas, red-eyed bastards.  Appears to hate them even more than I do!

I'm aware of a fuk-ton of theories out there, in part because I am open to anything.  But as of a few weeks ago; well it's the first time I have personally felt we may really have this whole thing, "won", and we're just doing clean up and wake up operations.

I have waited for this feeling to leave but it's hanging around. I think it may be time for me to put full faith in this idea.  It just takes a long time, like trying to clean out a hoarder's house. Not pleasant, but hopefully, ultimately satisfying.

@elsa I'm a little late for this.

This story isn't for the queasy. Years ago we had an injured deer in the yard. She couldn't stand.  Big Sadge was out of town. I called state level Fish and Wildlife.  An officer came out and killed it. The officer saw our tractor and asked me to pull it into our woods for the wildlife to dispose of the animal. When Big Sadge came home, we manually pulled the doe into the woodlot. We pulled her with ropes. She was heavy. Within a week, only bones were left.

Since then, there is a wasting disease in the deer herd. Your state wildlife people may want to test the deer.

What did you do?

@sue-ellen Called Fish and Wildlife. Were told the same thing you were.  I don't think it was ill though... but don't know. I think it was hit by a car, carried on some yards and died in our yard. 🙁

Added up to a bad day,  I'll tell you that.

@elsa haha, yes, I get it. I'm sure you will balance it.

Please add the link when it's done. I remember you said it was being pre recorded.

@sophiab thanks! It went well. They would like me to come back. They also invited me to email them if there was something I wanted to discuss with them. I expect I'll do it!
