I recalled something else, I thought was interesting.  It may have been someone's quote, I can't remember. Point is, it didn't originate in me.  But the person stated that this country pulls all kinds of shit... eventually too many people know. They deal with it, by saying, "Yeah, we did that. Whatcha' gonna do about it?"

I talking about giving black men syphilis and the like.

It's stunning if you actually stop and process this.

At this point, you are damned near forced to raise your kids to believe lies... this is why I write about the widespread abuse. The current truth is xyz and when the government tells you a new truth, then switch to it.  Got that, honey?

@elsa agree, it is both horrifying and sad. One of the most terrifying instances of this that stands out to me is Kelo vs City of New London CT. The city exercised eminent domain, handing a neighborhood to a private developer. People lost their homes, some which had been in families for a century, for a "better" "public" use that would raise tax revenue and create jobs. The entire neighborhood was bulldozed and then sat empty for 20 years because Pfizer, which received major tax breaks to move into New London and was the intended beneficiary of the private development, closed that facility right before its tax breaks ended and nothing materialized.  Now I know that laws on eminant domain have since strengthened but it's a very real reminder of how fragile and illusory our sense of security can turn out to be.

Client is a stand up comic, for fun, on the side. She's talented as hell, in her 70's.  She's still working as well.

She takes my consultation stuff and writes jokes with it.  We've been at this for years. I love it!

An alum friend is still working at 70. When she’s asked about retirement, she looks the person straight in the eye and asks, “Do I look old enough to retire?”  The inquiring person generally back peddles an, “Oh, no.”

I also am seeing this written now "gatekeeper/influencer". I think it's accurate.

@elsa As in, influencers as gatekeepers? Yes.

@rusalka one in the same.  I know. I can spot them from miles away,  decepticons. But I had never seen it stated like that.  I'm a bit stupid.

@elsa It's easy to miss. But I also realized recently that's ultimately all they do, is gatekeep happiness and status. You need their recommendation, sponsored product, long-winded methods, or else! you won't be happy and cool! (then what?) We just needed someone to wordsmith.

@rusalka i think this is a key thing. Having grown up without the programming,  I never learned I was less than others,  or that I needed to alter myself or conform as instructed, in order to function or prevail.  Just writing that, it sounds ludicrous, but this is how people are made to feel.

Saw an ad for tinder. It said you can leave date details on the site. Gawd.

@elsa Does not sound safe at all!. Gotta say, even if I was single I would never use this medium to meet a significant other. I understand this might work for some and that’s cool, but it’s just not my style.

@hades-moon  @elsa I have never dated. I know this sounds funny as I have been married more than once. But I really never dated. One guy, Sag, which I married (eventually) (my 2nd Sag marriage) ... I finally met him at a grill type place for the first time alone after only seeing him for 2 months in a group setting .... I remember he started talking as they do... blurt and get long winded telling some story.... I literally got up and walked out without saying a word. He was talking, saying some shit I couldn't stand to hear, and I just walked out, got in my car and drove away.

I am not sure he noticed I left for a minute because he was so into telling his story he probably forgot I was there 🤣 but.... he called and left a message on my answering machine (remember when we had those?) I played it back and kind of laughed and had NO plan of ever contacting this man again in my lifetime... here he comes, he is at the door.

My point is... I would be a tinder FAIL. I cannot imagine meeting some dude somewhere and listening to his bullshit life story LOL

I was just talking to a lady who met a guy out for dinner. After he ate, he went to the bathroom and never came back. Dine and dashed her. She had to pay the whole bill. Apparently, this is the new thing. These dudes meet you for dinner and eat.... then run out the back door and leave you with the bill. I would hunt this SOB down and take the cost of dinner out of his ass.... LOL and I mean it. Oh lordt!!!!!!!!!!

I should have known when the Sag was boring the shit out of me with his liabetes to never speak to him again.

When is a Sadge not in mid sentence?? Wink

Big Sadge walks into the room talking. Sometimes he’s still talking as he walks out of the room.

@soup 🤣@ chatterbox sag and chasing down the dining dasher

I relate because I have my north node, Venus and Jupiter in Capricorn. I wouldn’t let any bastard get away with dumping the bill on me either 😂.

As for not dating 😄, that’s pretty awesome. You got to skip some awkward moments and potential jerks/dashers.

@hades-moon Sag was just bragging about something or exaggerating about something 🤣 running his mouth and he was good at it. Me marrying him is still the head scratcher.

@hades-moon right? I really thought I was something walking out like that. Claiming I didn't care. Then I married him 🤣

I will tell you this,  he was my least favorite husband!

@hades-moon I’ve had those red eyes. Got any rose colored sun glasses?

@sue-ellen sorry that you’ve had this too. Because I’ve had a few of these red eyes, I think investing in those glasses would be a good idea 👍 .

@hades-moon Why don't these things happen when you NEED to look weird? Why can't we just have our eyes bulge and turn red when a dude is being creepy at the gas station?

@hades-moon I had this several times during my Pluto 6th house transit. One of the many things that happened. I thought I had pink eye. It was not. I have never had it since. At the time I was lifting heavy things daily so that might have been part of it. It looked crazy. I had to work. Went to the eye doc so many times during Pluto in the 6th.... actually, I went to every Doctor LOL. My hypochondriac years LOL but the red eye was real! And I had it several times.

Have you strained .... coughed, lifted?

@soup Gosh that would have been tough (getting it several times and working).

I have always had a tendency to bleed/bruise easily. 2 days before this happened, I got a blood spot rash on my lower legs. I went to the docs and they ran bloods which thankfully came back normal.

Whenever I’ve had these red eyes occur I have not experienced anything that’s usually associated with causing it.

What is weird is that in Feb I was diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder and ordered to be on blood thinners for life. On day 4 of taking them I wound up in ER with colorectal bleeding. From that moment, I decided that the risks of taking blood thinners outweigh the benefits (for my individual situation). Since then, I have had other bleeding episodes (different locations), and am grateful that I refuse to take the blood thinners.

Even though I don’t take the meds I remain mindful of what could happen and look out for symptoms. This health dilemma is the root cause of my current anxiety. All I can do is continue to practice healthy habits.
