I don’t know if this is a good thread to ask this but here goes:

Can someone explain the Mr. Beast phenomenon (if it is so)? I’m not talking about the crap show that is allegedly happening currently. I mean the show’s popularity. The only things I know about him are that he’s done some philanthropic good works and that supposedly his show was popular among kids? I don’t have children/kids/teens in my life that watch YouTube so I don’t even know what the demographics are. Did he do some pranks or is it … what kind of content?

I’m fully aware that I’m probably not in the viewer demographic, that I am out of touch but excluding the recent awful findings at his organization, he seems to have popped up suddenly (he provided money for people to get sight-saving surgery).

What’s going on? Am I more clueless than usual?
