Eulogy

I wrote and gave my sister’s eulogy. Our mother commented and edited. The service was mostly for our mom. It was a mini bio with some stories thrown in.  Good things were emphasized, hard things quickly mentioned, terrible things left unsaid. It was best to remember why we loved her. The family did the entire service. We shared our memories. It went well.

My mother’s eulogy was given by my brother’s brother-in-law. They knew each. I gave him some information and stories. It went well, also.

My mom wrote one for my nephew. She was having a hard time. Someone suggested using ai. She did and she said that it encapsulated everything she wanted to say.

Ive never written one. I hope I never have to honestly.

I’ve seen my uncle write one for my grandfather. My cousin (oldest son) write one for his father , my uncle. My brother wrote one for my father. My husband wrote them for his father and mother and a good friend of his.

I wonder…I will probably have to write one one day. 😒 I would prefer to collaborate.
