I always thought he was really special. Father Figure is one of my favorite songs. I hope it was a peaceful transition for him.

At a lovely dinner today with a dozen members of my new "church family," we were asked to name any famous people we'd met.  I rattled off a few of my celebrity clients from my massage job in LA, speaking of my first and favorite of all time, this sweet, unforgettable, soft-spoken gentleman.  Then I came home and learned of his death.

No wonder I adored him -- his Sun on my Sun/Moon midpoint, ASC and NN flanking my DSC and South Node, Mars and Pluto conjunct my Moon, and his Moon two degrees from my Vertex/Pluto.

I just read "heart attack" but no official word until autopsy.  I hope he didn't suffer.  May he rest in peace.

My favorite of his songs/videos, one of my very favorites of all music ever --

He did pretty well for himself. 80 million records sold worldwide.

Too bad he battled a lot of inner demons.

I can't remember ever being sadder over the death of a celebrity. I know he was a private person and I've never met him but I sensed a deep vulnerability and fragility in him, but also an unapologetic quality.  Like I said, I think he was someone very special.
