For me, living in Europe, much of the US conversation around vaccines is quite confusing. For example. We hike a lot, so I thought I should get the Tick Borne Encephalitis vaccine. Also, my tetanus vaccine is running out. And so I plan to renew that one when getting the final booster shot of the TBE vaccine.
Would you be wary of these shots? If yes, is it because of the vaccine in itself or the adjuvants in the compound?
I hesitate to ask such a question because of the swirl of issues around vaccines! I tried to google these specific vaccines and am still perplexed...
But maybe someone here has solid guidance?
@falada I don't know that anyone can answer this for sure. The vaccine you get there could be different from what we're given. People also suggest there may be variance in different batches.
That makes a lot of sense, because some people seem fine... but others..? The heart monitors handing off people in their 20's and 30's is hard to miss. Not internet content, but real people in our real lives.
Really, a lot of people have lost trust, but there are other people here who continue to get vaxxed.
As for the components, the mRNA vaccines are primarily the ones many are avoiding, but this is spreading to other vaccines.
I have thought of this myself... I am skipping everything, but have wondered about the tetanus shot because I rarely cover my feet and step on things, as a matter of course. I am also cut by dirty metal... often!
So that's where I am. No to everything and tetanus - maybe.
@falada I think it makes a lot of sense to assess your own personal risk, as you have. One of the examples here in the USA is Hepatitis A vaccine for babies. Why would a pediatrician recommend this, when the disease is only transmitted by dirty needles and sex? It seems likely to be driven by profits.
I've heard the new leadership state they are not anti-vax, but that the data on safety and efficacy needs to be more transparent so people can make their own informed choices. As opposed to blindly trusting doctors who are controlled by the corporate machine.
Can you ask your pharmacist to provide a list of ingredients for the vaccines that you'd like to get? Maybe you can start there with doing your own research.

It's the relentless "for profit" care offered in the US that depraves the relationship between patient and doctor. I think most US doctors would love to provide care as it is done in Europe. Not perfect, but not invoicing for cotton buds either. Or performing unecessary heart surgery because there's a profit to be made.
I so wish you would reform your health care system to control the corporate machine you speak of, but I understand that it is near impossible.
Not sure about the Tick vaccine but new info on the Tetanus is available.
Thanks for your thoughts Elsa. In my country, I don't see that avalanche of real people hurt by vaccines the way you and other people describe. Sometimes I wonder if other factors could be stressing the US pop. Could it be the abhorrent processed foods many people live on. But that's speculation.
I think that health care in the US is ruthlessly commercially driven, and that also may make the difference.
