I understand your grief and relief. Your mother sounds like a spiritual person who was probably happy to drop her body which was preventing her freedom. I'd say to be very aware of things now since at some point she WILL contact you. It's like she has moved to a new house ("In my Father's house there are many mansions") so needs to get settled in first. It just takes time.

I'm sorry for your loss, Sue Ellen. It is not odd at all to feel relief. I have been there and I understand the feeling.
