What do you miss in modern times?

I miss regular conversation more than anything. Just regular chit chat, jokes and sharing. Nothing stilted. Nothing sinister.  No one listening in (tech). No one trying to screw anyone. Just normal, friendly and unfettered conversation.

You?

Absolutely agree with the above; everyone and everything seemed simpler (in a positive way). I think there was less pretentiousness; I really miss those more innocent, real times. I miss natural looking faces; no Botox/fillers etc. I think it was easier to see who a person really was prior to cosmetic intervention. Where one’s lines reside can reveal nice traits about you eg smile lines. I now have to work a bit harder to try and see beyond one’s facade 🙂.

Reading this, it made  me think, playfulness is one of the things I miss. It's like dogs that get along vs dogs who don't.

@elsa I agree!. Playfulness is so good for the soul. We need to continue to bring out our inner child; life feels lighter when we do.

@hades-moon I put denamaria on speaker with my husband.  They burst into happy Spanish.  He leaves and I told her, "you both sound so happy!"

She said it's what happens when you're with your compatriots.  Everything is happy again!

This is the problem . My compatriots are sick, very sick, dead or dying. It's hit me all at one. Super devastating for all involved.  I am not sure when I may be able to have a regular conversation again. Or even IF.

That said, I do have clients, thank God. Mutually beneficial, real exchange of energy. I can't imagine the state I'd be in without them.

@elsa Geez, that is tough.

I’m so glad that you’re experiencing positive exchanges through your clients. It’s great that both you, and the client are benefiting.

Playfulness, absolutely.  Being young and shallow!  Exploring far and wide, fun jobs, travel, always chasing a new dream or an old fantasy.
