Where is your attention focused, these days?

Recently, someone posted something along the lines of "attention is the natural prayer of the soul". That was not their words, but this is how I have seen the concept expressed.

Let's assume it's true.  To what do you pay attention to, these days?

Same things I pray about -- my dog, health, home, loved ones, security.

Building and preserving resources. Hanging onto my income as long as possible. Supporting my husband as he adjusts to retirement. Smile

I'm focused on civil society. I know it sounds stupid, but Mars and Mercury in Libra... this is seriously, my number one thing. My 9th house, higher ground.

@elsa By civil society do you mean humanity? Civil society sounds like humanity’s daily life - how we administer or manage daily life (post office, air traffic controllers, fire department, water, traffic lights, laws etc) Is that it?

I am glad you asked this question because it made me think. I am not particularly focused on myself, my community, my state; I am thinking about humanity. Will we measure up? It is almost palpable the sense that we are on the verge of a big challenge. How will we do? How can we help?

I have only simple answers so far: Don’t fall into fear. Help people who fall into fear.

@aspire I want (Mars) Libra stuff.

I want love, people, manners, fairness, the Golden rule, reciprocity, sociability.

This as opposed to wanting pain, or riches or to be better than others, or to cause harm...

That's what I mean. Sorry for the poor word choice. Smile

“Graduating” Life School, which is working on yourself, and then finding like minded people. The last part, I struggle with.
I had to work on myself to stay alive, but I look around, and not many people, are interested in working on themselves, they want to “change” other people.
It’s never going to work, that way, IMO!
