The signs can be divided into Triplicities, that’s groups of three, also known as Elements
Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn make up the earth signs.
Earth is palpable. It is the stuff of physical form. People with a lot of earth in their charts make things. Plain and simple.
Each earth sign represents a factor of production.
Taurus is the capitol stock. That’s the machinery that enables us to “work smarter, not harder.” Taurus knows how to squeeze the most out of very little.
Virgo is the land. That’s the square canvas of flora, fauna, dirt and details awaiting manipulation. Virgo knows the inventory by heart as well as the product of each permutation.
Capricorn is the labor. I would write more, but Capricorn does not have time for this foolishness. There is work to be done.
A ha ha ha ha ha ha! Lol at Capricorn.
The ONLY Earth in my chart is Pluto in Virgo. And, it’s funny you would equate it as ‘dirt’. While in Ireland, I was physically/emotionally effected by seeing the piles of peat drying in the fields. I couldn’t explain it, but it didn’t matter… since then, I’ve been trying to find the Gaelic translation for peat to have a tattoo done of it. Believe it or not, there appears to not be a Gaelic word specifically for peat, the closest would be the translation for ‘dirt’ (which is basically what peat is). So, this Pluto in Virgo will someday have the Gaelic word for Dirt as a tattoo! 😉
My Grand Trine in Earth nods… Yep. I make things, grow gardens, bake and cook food… You’ve got mad skills, Nota.
Earth Sun/Moon/Mercury/Chiron. It keeps me from going insane, I swear to god.
hahaha! My Cap sun is forever telling the rest of my chart to shut up and get on with it.
Rest of the chart doesn’t listen, needless to say.
oh carrie, I love that.
Hahaha opal! My Cancer stellium is always at war with all my earth – and even my earthy moon is always dragging me away from all that Cap/Virgo work and responsibility – and on top of that, my Leo Pluto will keep pulling me towards those damn fiery ones to get burned all over again…
No wonder I find it so hard to get anything done!
yes! I am Taurus asc and I make things last A LONG time. I used to call it resourceful. Give me and my bf the same size jar of facial lotion (he used to be a skincare specialist), He’ll have it for a week, I’ll go through it in 3.
Same with food. I do like to have “enough for later”. Maybe this is related to Capricorn/scarcity thing? I mean it’s not that I don’t think that there’ll be enough, it’s just, why would I use more resources than I absolutely have to?
I’m with theCapricornjourney….I’ve got Taurus rising and 4 planets there as well. I’m an expert at rationing;-)
Virgo/6th house stellium here – Sun, Uranus, Pluto, Jupiter, and Mars!
LOL @ the Cap description. My first thought tho? I don’t make things. I think. I muse. Yet I have six, count em, 6 planets in earth, including a Cap sun/stellium in 2nd, cap on cusp of 3rd. I’m with theCapricornjourney tho, I def make things last. I can live on little to nothing, and used to lend money to people who made way more than me.
LOL about Capricorn. That sums all the Capricorns I know. No time for anything because they are too busy.
And yes, this Virgo LOVES the land! Give me wide open spaces and dirt under my fingernails any day of the week 🙂
Welcome to Elsaelsa, Earth Angel. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
Thanks Nota!
I have an Earth Moon conjunct Earth IC,OOB Venus conjunct fire Desc,Earth Jupiter Rx
I like being out doors by the water/in forest/park especially when it’s hot(I love warmth hate cold)…I like working with my hands…but I get bored and/or impatient/frustrated with it at the same time :-D…I can’t grow anything…everything dies on me,but if I could grow things I would grow things…I like working with animals better…the only earth sign that I get along with for some reason are Virgo’s and that’s just barely also for some reason…
I have a trine in earth…moon cap, sun Virgo and both Trining my midheaven. I have total 4 planets in earth… Mercury(Virgo) sun (Virgo), moon (cap), Jupiter (cap). I would like to think of myself as hard working, but I always think I can do better. I am very earthly; materials matter most to me since I have sun and Venus in second house too!
