Some gals in their 30's stayed with us this week. They had AI selfies / profile pics... that resembled them about 5%. It's amazing what people can and will hide behind. You're got not earthly idea who you're talking to.

Apparently, you need to submit ten head shots and it will spit out a series of the ai you.

It's being used...

"Copy paste the *omitted* to chatgpt, tell it your stance and have it write the comment."

AI created homework / essays, on the way! It's never been easier to fake it.

Wow, submit ten head shots?!  I know I seem paranoid to some (my kid included!), but I value my privacy way too much to submit one headshot, let alone ten.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that AI is neutral/unbiased.

@giovanni Interesting, considering there has been an environment created where questioning certain things is discouraged or even mocked. It looks like this was created with that atmosphere in mind. This is such tunnel vision.

For example: “Don’t do your own research. Leave that to the experts.”

"Today I asked ChatGPT about the topic I wrote my PhD about. It produced reasonably sounding explanations and reasonably looking citations...."

ha ha ha ha.  Teachers can have this thing come up with their curriculum; students can have it do their work.  Should be great! /s

@elsa It’s very “production-oriented” with no consideration or care for whether someone learns or can apply the knowledge.

Produce to consume 🔄
