Planetary placements do not contribute to one's cause of death, but a person's lifestyle, a disease or multiple other factors can contribute to the cause of someone's death, early or late. There are many people who have these placements and live long healthy lives. Things are not so specific and simple. Planets and Signs and Houses mean multiple things. A reflective Astrological review of a person's chart after their death is more complicated than simply a specific cusp ruler sitting in a specific house, and to infer such a thing is quite unethical and erroneous. A big No No. I try to always remember the saying: "It's a wise person who rules the Stars and a fool who is ruled by them".

We are born and we die, it's the stuff in between that counts.

This is Wisdom.  Plain and Simple.

Okay, so you want to get the C.O.D., do ya??

Astrology of Death by Richard Houck should put you on the right path.  It's quite heady and Vedic, to boot!!  The "Killer" is quite the surprise.

Enjoy.

Thank you for your insight.

It's a fascinating topic I admit - with a loaded 8th (Moon, Mars, Saturn and Pluto), I can't help but be fascinated. I myself have my 8th house ruler in my 12th though (and my 12th house ruler in my 8th), and I'd never heard that the former could suggest dying early. I do hope in my case having Saturn in my 8th will prevent this, but there are definitely major ethical implications in trying to predict this kind of thing for others.
One thing I will say with regard to the 8th house - and it is scarily uncanny - is that Robin Williams suicide and manner of death is strongly suggested by his 8th house placements. I remember reading an analysis of it and feeling a little uncomfortable by how detailed it was in accuracy, according to the planets he had in his 8th and the sign on the cusp...

It's a tricky subject...

Yes! I did a bit of research on his death myself. I too have my 8th house lord in the 12th. What is yours by the way? How old are you?

i read personally, it was due to a deep depression. it is so very sad about him. Sometimes, people get busy and they don't pay attention to eachother, it's a busy busy life out there. Happiness and joy is hard to come by, and to sustain it. Money and power is nothing, compared to having a joy of life.

ETA: and also, something /someone to live for.

I just want to know how you guys feel about one's planetary placements/aspects and how they contribute to their C.O.D.

For example, individuals with their 8th house lord in the 12th seem to have shortened lives (die young). Tons of celebrities that have "gone out with bang" have this one.

what, really?cryfrown

my 8 house lord is venus.... death by chocolate?

despite my morbid curiosity (8th house gemini moon) even if it could be possible to know this way, i'd rather not.
