I didn't think she was too bad...I read the story about her and the apple; she wasn't invited to a wedding or something, and so she threw that poisoned apple in the middle of the party saying it was for "The fairest lady in all the land" and all the women began fighting over it (because they all thought they were the fairest in the land)...

and as such, you should look at the house opposite where Eris sits (think of how she threw the apple where she was not invited) as the place of where Eris' energy manifests?

Good idea about looking at the opposite of Eris. 

Eris is trine my ascendant. So I have a good shadow or what? haha

I guess I’m just searching for something more than discord. I’m trying to find a more positive expression because the MC is the most visible point on the chart and being associated with discord… isn’t so inspiring. Meh. But, the more I think about it though, It resonates. I guess that’s what she’s about, being accepted.

Ok, so Eris is the symbol for discord and she wants to be recognized, right? I can relate to that. Let’s get it all out in the open so we can talk about it and heal it. Yes. Yeah. Oh yeah, I can relate to this. I definitely have an innate desire to shed light on discord both within myself and within a group because what lies beyond discord is hopefully harmony. Maybe not harmony per se but something worth getting at.  

So, I wonder if transit Eris conjunct a planet would be like shining a light or working on the root of the discord of the energy of that planet. I mean, unless you’re ready and willing to go there of course Eris is going to get a bad rap. ...but if you like to go there, maybe she isn't so bad.

In my natal, Eris is 7 degrees past my 1 Aries Mercury, 16 degrees from my 24 Aries Sun, 3rd house.  Quincunx my Virgo Moon in 8th. 

In 61 years, she's only traveled 16 degrees, currently transiting conjunct my Sun by half a degree, and thus also opposing my 24 Libra Neptune.  Plenty of self-created strife and discord in recent years.  Even more so about 14 years ago when she was opposing my asteroid Maniac and squaring my Nodes and Uranus!

Will I have inner peace someday when she finally passes by? 

l have the impression from some of the things I have read that Eris is pissed off by the repression of the sacred feminine and the lack of balance in all things, people, laws , institutions, and nature.The energy seeks not to castrate, but to equalize and harmonise a world gone too far towards patriarchy. It seeks to heal wounds that are caused by the removal of the mother spirit from our conciousness. It is an instigator of change.
