Just FYI for everyone.... I am doing okay, meaning I am well, and not in pain.   I have enough business to continue... but not with the site crashing, constantly.

My webhost has put 50 hours in, with no exaggeration. CArRiE has also shown up to help, but will need to be paid.

It's looks like the best thing is to build a new site, that will take a LONG time and may not be successful, in this way:

This site has been here 1/4 of a century!  People have uploaded stuff to the forum (and the blog)... it's all in individual folders, the files are huge.  If you want a clue, I started @ 4:15 am and did noting but delete (like in a trance) until 12:15. Then I had a call and started in again. I am not sure I have made a dent.

I have also deleted 20% of the forum and some of the blog.

I am doing this to hopefully tame the database... which will make it easier to switch over?

But right now, honestly, I may lose the site. It's simple. The cost to rebuild may simply be beyond my reach.  So I am working VERY hard with no earthy idea if anything will come of it., After all Saturn is in Pisces...

I will say, it's interesting deleting the pics. I can remember most of the pics - know the threads they were in, my mind is like this.

"Oh yeah.  This was rantares post..." I'm amazing.

I am deleting my heyday here and also my legacy. I can't describe my feelings. 

Anyway, that's what going on and no dev wants to touch this until I seriously reduce the burden. Right now, I will be deleting content and bringing the site back up when it crashes, which is will.  Hopefully people will continue to shop and hire me as I need the support badly right now. 

I can tell you it's a war behind the scenes and not just for me.  People mine bitcoin on this site and whatnot. It's just shit, I'll tell you.

I thought I would elaborate..

This site is built on wordpress. Back in the internet heyday, you could upload whatever, or whatever of size.  There was a time, many years ago, wordpress decided to make copies of anything uploaded... three copies of different sized. Later, it was five copies!  So everything is huge and these days, you get sued for stuff on your site so what can I say, but GREAT!!! ☹ 🙁 

So folders... 2005, January... what was uploaded then??

This is one thing but not what's crashing the site. I'm just saying there are a lot of years here and history.

This is a trip. Search an astrology term and click "pics", I have more zodiac pics on my server, than Google can find these days. It's just stupefying to watch the changes.

I was trying to make it to 25 years here... that's been my goal but I would actually like to go 7 more years. I will do this, if I can save this site or otherwise rebuild it. I'm just laying it out.  I'm also letting you know this is up in the air.

I will probably be deleting the rest of the week.  Maybe a lot longer - yet to be discovered.
